Local Hauntings, Myths & Legends
Every locality has stories of ghosts, mysterious events and legends. Sometimes they might have a grain of truth in them. We shall try to capture some here. Whilst this site is of an historical nature and is based on factual information, it is always interesting to report on stories that have circulated locally over the years, which either have no reasonable explanation or are at best in the realm of whimsy. They provide a bit of light hearted relief from serious research.
